Rajaji National Park, spread in the three districts (Dehradun, Pauri Garhwal and Haridwar) of Uttarakhand and well known Indian national park. It’s called Rajaji Tiger Reserve that covers the area 820 km where you will find various plants, trees and animal. In 1983, Govt. of India thought about merging all these three wildlife sanctuaries, Chilla, Motichur and Rajaji into Rajaji National Park. After seeing the condition of Indian Tiger in India, Govt. decides to put most to the tiger into Rajaji and that’s how it became Rajaji Tiger Reserve too.
The holy Ganga river flow through the park from Bairaaj to Chilla crossing Rishikesh, Lakshman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla and ends at Har Ki Paudi. There is another river which flows through Rajaji national park in Dehradun district called Song rivers that comes from Doiwala, Bhaniyawala crossing chidderwala and eventually dissolves into Ganga River near Gohri Rang.
The Rajaji National Park & Tiger Reserve opens around 15 November every year and closes around 15 June every year!
